Hi everyone! It's been a long time since my last update. Sorry! I underestimated how much hw at engineering school would take away from my free time! O.O I have a few works that are completely sketched, I just need to scan and color or watercolor them. Hopefully, one day soon I'll have a free day to finish and upload them!

I just got done with my latest pic, a fanart I made for a friend's character on the online game Guild Wars. I think it turned out pretty well and that I've improved a bit over the past few years. I have alot more ideas planned (experiments with watercolor and CGing) so be prepared for more pics in the future! ^_^ I'll have to make a new ID, won't I? O.O And maybe then I'll be joining some of those deviantart clubs I've been seeing!

Well, the time has come for me to begin drawing again. This past school year, I haven't drawn AT ALL! O.O

I frighten myself.

I was feeling alot of doubts about my drawing abilities, since I felt I had deteriorated from when I was last taking art classes (my art teacher left year before last D: ). I saw many problems with my proportion, coloring, shading, etc.

I was determined to revamp my art style to something more suitable, mature, and realistic. Unfortunately, this past year I was stuck with a surprisingly very demanding elective. It sucked up my would-be art time, and I was afraid of it hurting my GPA my last year of high school.

Now it is summer, I've taken several trips, but I appear to have a month-long break before the next one. I've recently been inspired to draw again, thanks to watching the very talented artists on DeviantArt and all across the Internet.

I'll be working hard to improve my art style. I've already deleted most of the terribly unsatisfactory pictures in my gallery from years ago. I may redo some of those pictures, or some of the ones I left behind. I've also bought a tablet I'll be experimenting with along with my mouse. I may use them to color some line art sitting on my computer that can be salvaged.

The one you know as Anime Monkey is rising from the ashes as a phoenix. How brilliantly the flames will burn is yet to be decided, but hopefully the flames will continue to be fed for years to come.



I fear I've lost some of my old eager hyperness! O.O Better change that!

I FINALLY got around to uploading all of my finished stuff this summer (though most of it I finished months ago -___-)! I hate that I mainly uploaded older stuff (I can draw and color better now!), but my computer time (and therefore scanning and coloring time) has been limited. I hope to update more often during the school year, especially since I still have some pictures I have on my computer that are only half-finished. I've also been investing in some How to Draw Manga books and I hope that they will help me improve. Till next time. Ja matta ne! ^_^

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I have a pile of stuff waiting to be scanned and colored. If I get a free weekend, I'll make sure to do it. Also I'm taking an art class this year, and we're practicing the human form. So, hopefully, I'll be getting better Until I get my stuff scanned, here are a couple of doodles ^_^
